"He who finds a wife finds a good thing
and obtains favor from the Lord."
Proverbs 18:22, NASB
This verse challenges me to be the kind of wife
that my husband considers to be a good thing!
And, even more importantly,
it encourages me to walk closely with the Lord,
yielding myself to Him,
allowing Him to make me into the woman,
the good thing, he wants me to be!
This verse may not seem to be a good memory verse for children,
but it's good for them to have a healthy view of marriage.
Our sons need to know that "he who finds a wife finds a good thing,"
and our daughters need to know that it is a good thing to be a wife.
